Clinical Management Team:

Barbara Schlienz Prosser
Vice President of Clinical Services

Barbara Schlienz Prosser has been with Critical Care Systems since 1996 and oversees clinical service, staff development, policy and procedure review and performance improvement activities.  Barb has served as a surveyor for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) in the Home Care, Ambulatory and Network Accreditation programs for over 10 years.  She draws from many years of home infusion therapy experience, having worked at other infusion companies in the industry in addition to Critical Care Systems.

Active in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), Barb has served as a Director-at-Large and Chair of the Home Care Section Executive Committee.  She is also a member of the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) and the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) and serves as the JCAHO PTAC representative for NHIA.  Barb received her Bachelors of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Florida. 


Donald J. Filibeck, PharmD, MBA
National Director of Pharmacy Services

Donald J. Filibeck serves as the National Director of Pharmacy Services, providing clinical pharmacy support for all branch locations.  Don, along with other resources in the clinical services department, is responsible for developing policies/procedures, clinical protocols, reviewing clinical services, branch operational audits and JCAHO preparation.  With more than 15 years in the industry, Don has vast experience and understanding of specialty infusion. 

Don is currently a surveyor for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) in the Home Care program.  He has been very active in professional organizations including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the National Home Infusion Association and has presented numerous times at national pharmacy meetings.

Don received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctorate of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Michigan and his Master of Business Administration degree from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.


Kevin L. Ross, RN, BSN
National Director of Nursing Services

Kevin Ross serves as the National Director of Nursing Services, providing clinical nursing support for all branch locations.  He is responsible for developing policies/procedures, clinical protocols, reviewing clinical services, branch operational audits and JCAHO preparation.

Kevin has been actively involved in home infusion therapy for more than 25 years, working as an Infusion Nurse, Manager, I.V. Educator, and Nurse Consultant.  In addition, he has served more than 10 years as a Home Care Surveyor for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).  Kevin speaks nationally on infusion-related topics, has had numerous articles published and was a contributing author for Core Curriculum for Home Health Care Nursing, 1995 Edition.

Kevin is an active member of the Infusion Nurses Society (INS), National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).


Johanna Chappelle, RN, CPON
National Director of Hemophilia Programs

Johanna Chappelle serves as the National Director of Hemophilia Programs, providing clinical education and training for all branch locations, customers, managed care groups and medical staff at Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTC’s), specialty and primary physician groups.  She is responsible for developing CE programs, policies/procedures, clinical protocols, reviewing clinical services and branch training related to Hemophilia and other bleeding disorders and reviews all materials related to bleeding disorders created by the company for distribution.

Johanna has been actively involved in the Hemophilia community for more than 15 years and has worked in the homecare market since 1985.  Johanna speaks nationally on Hemophilia and other Bleeding Disorders related topics and she has co-authored several articles related to Hemophilia.

Johanna is an active member of the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF), Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA) and served of the boards and committees of many local Foundations.  Johanna received her Associates degree in Nursing from the University of Albuquerque and Bachelors of Business from the University of New Mexico.


Sandra K. Kronn, RN, BSN, CRNI
Operations Performance Manager

Sandra K. Kronn has over 35 years of health care experience and has worked in home infusion therapy for more than 20 years, serving as an Infusion Divisional Director and Executive Director of infusion therapy.

Sandee is responsible for conducting JCAHO ready branch audits, orientation of Nurse Managers and reviewing clinical practices and policies.  Previously, she was General Manager of a Critical Care Systems branch and selected by the Company as "General Manager of the Year" in 2002.

Sandee co-chairs the Corporate Product Evaluation Committee and has chaired the Corporate Policy and Procedure Committee.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Psychology from Northern Illinois University, and earned her CRNI credentialing in infusion therapy in 1985. Sandee is an active member of Intravenous Nurses Society and was recently published in “Advance Nursing”.


Cathy Sasser, RPh.
Operations Performance Manager

Cathy L. Sasser, RPh., bringing more than 25 years of healthcare experience to her position as Operations Performance Manager. 

Cathy currently serves as a Chair for the American Society of Health System Pharmacists’ Executive Committee for Home, Ambulatory and Chronic Care Practitioners.  Cathy is also an active member of NHIA where she is currently Education Committee Chair, and is on the editorial board for the official journal of the Home Healthcare Nurses Association.  Cathy has been a JCAHO Home Care Surveyor, has made numerous national presentations on behalf of ASHP and JCAHO, and has served as a reviewer and editor for other publications such as Home Care Provider and Hospice Drug Handbook.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Auburn University.


Caryn M. Bing, RPh, MS, FASHP
Operations Performance Manager

Caryn M. Bing supports the clinical and operational oversight for the Company, and oversees the development and maintenance of the Standards of Practice policies and procedures.


Caryn has more than 25 years of health care practice and management experience with significant time spent in the infusion industry in clinical, general, and corporate management roles with other regional and national providers.  She was also a Joint Commission Surveyor for seven years.  Caryn has been a very active volunteer in state and national professional associations, including service as a Past President of Illinois Council of Health System Pharmacists, ASHP Home, Ambulatory and Chronic Care Practitioners Section Executive Committee, AJHP Editorial Advisory Board, NHIA Education Committee, and the newly-formed Nevada Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She also chaired the ASHP Task Force on Continuity of Care. 

Caryn has given many professional presentations, is widely published, and is well known as Editor of Extended Stability of Parenteral Drugs.  She holds as BS in Pharmacy from of University of Illinois at Chicago, an MS in Health Systems Management from Rush University, and a post graduate pharmacy residency from Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.  She lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
